Our family stayed in the Chalet for four nights and loved every minute of it. The Chalet itself is just beautiful - you feel like you are in a tree house. Views of nature from every corner, even the bathroom! There were 5 of us - my husband, me, and our 3 adult children. We all felt like we had plenty of room to spread out and BE and enjoy these beautiful surroundings. We kayaked, swam in the pond, river, and pool, took walks, fished, paddled on the pond, played croquet and horseshoes, cooked, played lots of cards, did a puzzle, read, admired the art nestled in with nature (it's everywhere!). Most of all we enjoyed each other's company in the loveliest place I've been in many years. Although it was only a little over an hour from our home in New Orleans we felt like we had been in another world. Thanks to Blaine and Loretta, the owners, and Dave, the founder, for making and keeping this place so incredibly special and serene. I hope that we will be back often in the future! It's a place where I remembered that God can be found in all things!
We enjoyed our stay at Little River Bluffs! I had heard about Little River Bluffs from family and friends they all said it was a great place to relax and very peaceful and they were right! The cabin we stayed in was very nice, it had everything you need to have a great weekend just bring your food to cook! They greet you with wonderful home made bread and preserves. We are making plans to go back to have a family reunion. If you need to escape for a few days this is the place to go for rest and relaxation! Also, the creek is great for a short kayak ride the cabin has the kayaks!
We stayed at the Meadow Cabin and really liked the place and it's surroundings. Deep in the woods and so peaceful and quiet. The place was clean and had all the necessities of home. You were welcomed with home made Tea bread and jelly, along with breakfast items for the morning. It was great! The trails around are wonderful, we loved seeing all the ornamentals surprising you along the way. There is fishing in a nearby pond or river, and lots of nature all around you. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves nature. Can't wait to return.
Truly the best place to visit. The people are amazing.. a must place to stay.
Beautiful and peaceful place to get away from all the hustle and bustle of day to day life. There's several cabins to be rented all varying in price. There's plenty room for a group and also cabins small enough for just a couple on a get away to spend time with each other. Right on the river and the water is clear. Kayaks were available when I went years ago. I will be going back.
